My break was very easy going and relaxing. I spent most of my time relaxing, working, spending time with friends and family, and going to church.
What was very much needed was relaxation time. After a stressful and busy first semester I spent most of my break regrouping from that. I spent watching movies, starting and finishing new shows, and catching up on sleep. I started watching and finished the show Emily in Paris, and I was able to watch many Christmas movies. I also relaxed/ regrouped by taking relaxing hikes in Irving park. Besides that I didn't spend my entire break relaxing, I also spent it in a not so relaxing place which is my at my work.
I work at a place called The Little Gym. It is a place where we teach young kids how to do basic gymnastic/ dance skills. During break we had winter camps, this consists of having fun in the gym, playing games, and doing crafts. I was pretty much a camp counselor for a week. Though it was really chaotic I love what I do and I had a ton of fun hanging out with the kids. I like being around the kids I work with, but I also like being with my friends and family.
I spent a lot of my spare time with my friends and family. From going to the movies and staying there till midnight with my friends to doing fun activities with my family I had a lot of fun. My friends and I went to the movies two times and we saw the new spider-man movie and West Side Story. We would be at the movies at 9 and we would leave the theater till 12. That night was very eventful for us. My favorite memory I had during break was spending time with my family during Christmas eve. We made many jokes and danced a lot that night. The people I spent my break with is what made my break memorable. When I go to church it also makes my break memorable.
I go to church almost every Sunday, but when I went to the Christmas service it had such a different vibe compared to other days. That day was so spiritual and special in many ways. Seeing the beautiful candles around the room during worship and hearing an amazing and inspiring message from Eric Geiger (my pastor). That moment was probably my favorite moment of the entire break.
My break was a somewhat eventful and amazing break. It's definitely a memorable and special break.
